dc.description.abstractAcute respiratory infections (ARI) is one of the causes of the incidence and mortality in the world. Nearly four million people die every year due to respiratory infection. The mortality rate is so high in infants and children, especially in low-income developing countries. Severe ARI mortality remains high. Deaths often caused by people coming for treatment in a state quite severe and is often accompanied by complications and malnutrition. Age group 6-23 months is the age group most vulnerable to the disease. The purpose of this study is to determine the risk factors affecting the incidence of ARI in children in the RSU Mitra Paramedika in 2011. The study used a cross sectional. This study is an observational analytic study. The population in this study were all patients who suffered from ARI in children Mitra Hospital Yogyakarta Paramedika 2011.Sampel research must meet the criteria for inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sampling technique using a sample of this study will use total sampling. The results in this study, showed that states that the age of the p-value 0.000 has significant relationship (p <0.05). In addition, the incidence of ARI patients with gender has a value of 0.013 p value indicates that the (p <0.05), and the incidence of ARI patients with the nutrion status factor has a p value of 0.021 indicates that the value (p <0.05), and the incidence ISPA immunization status of patients with p value 0.000 indicates that the value (p <0.05). There is a relationship between age, sex, nutritional status and completeness of childhood immunization with the incidence of ARI in children in RSU Mitra Paramedika Yogyakarta 2011. The most influential factor in a row on the incidence of ARI in RSU Mitra Paramedika Yogyakarta 2011 is the nutritional status, sex and immunization status.
