| dc.description.abstract | Preliminary plant design of m-aminophenol with capacity 50.000 tons/years to be built in Cikampek-Karawang, . the province of West Java. This chemical plant will be operated for 330 days/year with total 244 employees.
Raw materials needed are resorcinol 6513,40 kg/hour and ammonia 1224,95 kg/hour. The production process will be operated at temperature 230°C, at pressure of about 35 atm using Batch Reactor. The utility needed are of 1675,3642 kg/hour of steam water, 21.688,1307 kg/hour of cooler water, 373,3426 kg/hour of fuel, 500 kg/hour of steam, while the power of electricity of about 1314,7085 kWh provided by PLN, this chemical plant also need to be covered set of generator as reserve.
An economic analysis shows that chemical plant need to be covered by fixed capital of about US$•. 9,148,430,60 + Rp. 89.772.778.190,64 and working capital of about US$ 23.682.595,68 + Rp. 11.025.321.674,82. The profit before taxes is Rp. 119.354.405.858,29, while the profit after taxes is Rp. 59.677.202.929,15. Percentage of return on investment (ROQ before taxes is 64,2273%, while after taxes is 32,1136 %. Pay out time (POT} before taxes is 1,3472 year ,while after taxes is 2,3745 year. The value of break event point (BEP) for about 47,0301%, while shut down point (SDP) of abut 36,3087%. The value of discounted cash flow rate (DCFR) for about 29,5751%.
