dc.description.abstractBengawan Solo river was polluted by chemical element heavy metal chromium(Cr) in an enourmous number. The source of the Cr contaminant is come from industrial waste, domestic waste, burn of an engine and pel mobilizations are poured into the water body. The hydrology cycle take the Cr and contaminate the shallow well, lake, and fish pool through the rain. Alots of concave land countour can caused precipitate of Cr, infiltrate and accumulate it into the ground. Cr is a toxic pollutant and harmful when it is accumulate in every living thing body. The medical impact of chromium i.e. cancer, the damage of bloody system, kidney and skin irritate. Remediation use electrokinetic depend on the direct current (DC) electricity through the ground is an effort to remove the Cr in this medium. The objectives in this research are to team the phenomenon of electrokinetic remediation with 2D hexagonal configuration into the soil contaminated by Cr and identify the removal efficiency of chrome in to the soil. The process that occurred in this treatment is electromigration, electrolysis, electroosmosis, and electrophoresis. The research methods of electrokinetic is remediation are used 40 volt and 0.2 Ampere direct current electricity. The concentration of Cr in medium is 500 pigg was preapered from simulation of caolinite from Godean area which contaminated by Cr 3. The medium weight is 150 kg and take place in the glass basin with the size ofthe basin are 1m x 0.95m x 1m. The remediation moment in this research take time as long as 12 hour. Electrode former battery with long 5 cm and diameter 0.8 cm is used as electrodes. The gap between electrodes is 1 cm with 2D hexagonal configuration. The residt of this research show, that the changes of pH and concentration of Cr was occurred. Initial pH averages are 2.4 and after the treatment it is changes in every sampling point. The pH at chatode area has an alkali conditions range from 8.4 to 10.2, while nano deare a has an acid condition range from 3 to 5.4. The concentration Cr in the medium undergoes to remove from the initial concentration 500 µg g becomes 78.6 µg g and the removal efficiency is 78.13 %.en_US
