Pengaruh Penambahan Superplasticizier dan Pengurangan Jumlah Air terhadap Kuat Tarik, Kuat Geser, Kuat Lentur dan Permeabilitas Beton dengan Variasi f'c 35 dan 40 MPa
Abstract
In this advanced era of science and technology, many research are directed to achieve maximum concrete strength, including by increasing its' density to get a higher strength compressive strength concrete, shear, tensile, and flexural strength yet without sacrificing workability and durability. A low workability concrete makes the process of mixing, until its treatment process difficult since it will have much too many pores and porous. Hopefully by both adding superplasticizier and reducing water amount will increase workability, strength, and durability. The superplasticizier (in this bachelor thesis sikament-NN) is categorized as a mean to produce a 'flowing' concrete paste able to fill the concrete own pores thus increasing its strength, yet without causing unwanted aggregate segregation which generally happen to concretes with higher content of water. The small aggregate used are < 5 mm diameter special grafity 2,621 t/m³ sand and maximum 20 mm diameter coarse gravel. The water usage of 25x10x10 and 50x10x10 cm cubes plus 15x30 cm cylinders samples was gradually reduced from 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, until 30% with fc 35 dan 40 MPa planned strength. Last research results shows concrete workability increase in tandem with superplasticizer (sikament-NN) adding and water content reducing plus an increase of 40 % of normal 28 days compressive strength in concrete mix using superplasticizer where as this bachelor thesis research hoped to see the superplasticizer (sikament-NN) adding and water content reducing influence towards workability, compressive strength concrete, tensile strength, shear strength, and flexural strength.
