Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the prophetic parenting style and social emotional health mediated by the quality of friendship among 71 adolescents in Cirebon. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and AMOS 22. The results indicated that: a) there is no correlation between prophetic parenting style in father and social emotional health by a p value 0.216(p>0.05) and there is no correlation between prophetic parenting style in mother and social emotional health by a p value 0.831 (p>0.05) b) there is no correlation between prophetic parenting style in father and quality of friendship among adolescents with p = 0.011 (p>0.05) and there is no correlation between prophetic parenting style in mother and quality of friendship among adolescents with p = 0.977 (p>0.05), c) the quality of the relationship does not correlate to the social emotional health of adolescents with the regression p value 0.160 (p>0.05), d) The quality of friendship among adolescents did not mediate the prophetic parenting and social emotional health.
