dc.description.abstractDrug management is one among crucial management of hospital so that inefficiency in management of medicine will give huge negative impact to the hospital, medically and economically. This study evaluating the management of medicine from the stage of planning and storage in Pharmacy Department Regional Public Hospital of Sleman at year 2006. The main consideration of taking this stage is that the success of medicine management in planning and storage stage will determine the pricing, quality and the number of medicine required mthe hospital. The study is explorative evaluative-descriptive from quantitative (primary data) collection which is retrospectively and qualitative (secondary data) collection in obtained from interviews. Subject of this study is medicines sample items taken by proportional cluster random sampling method Based on the result reported, we can generate conclusion that planning and storage ol medicine in Pharmaceuticals Department Regional Public Hospital of Sleman at year 2006 run efficient in the stage of planning,but less efficient in the stage of storage Indicator in the stage of planning and storage : percentage of fund provided by the percentage of fund required is 100%, correctness of planning is 90/o, planning mistreat is 14,21%, sufficient of medicine is 16 month, superfluous medicine is 18%, unoccupied stock is 14% and TOR 9,02 times in ayear.en_US
