Pengaruh Pemberian Ekstrak Etanol Daun Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) terhadap Parameter Tekanan Darah pada Tikus Wistar Jantan Artritis Yang Diinduksi Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA)

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease which characterized by inflammation, joint pain, and fatigue. Nephelium lappaceum L. is plant as medicine herbal. Thereby this research was done to study the effect of ethanol extract of rambutan's leaf to parameter blood pressure of rheumatoid arthritis case in rat. Thirthy wistar male rats, 200-250 gram, divided into, 6 (N=5) groupsand they were given normal food and drink ad libitum. The first group as a normal group. The second group as a negativegroup induced by Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA) 0.1 ml, leaved until 30 days. The third group as a negative control group induced by CFA 0.1 ml. at day 17 until at day 30 after induction they were treated with sodium diclofenac 0,9mg/200gram Body Weight (g BW) by orally. The fourth, fifth, and sixth groups induced by CFA 0.1 ml, and then at day 17 they were treated with extract of rambutan"s leaf until day 30. Extract of rambutan s leave was given orally with doses at 100 mg extrac/kilogram Body Weight (kg BW), 150mg extract/kg BW, and 200mg extract/kg BW respectively. Blood pressure parameter was measured at before induced CFA,at day 17, and day 30 after induction. Blood pressure at day 17 was increased but still in normal range. The data was analyzed statistically with ANAVA method (p<0,05). The result showed that extract of rambutans leaf and sodium diclofenac reduced blood pressure significantly in arthritis case rat by CFA induced, and sodium diclofenac have better reduced percentage than extract of rambutan's leaf.
