    Abstract
    Pre-liminary design of nonwoven (geotextile) factory with total capacity 4.200.000 kg per year is targetted for fulfill domestic demand and export quota. Thefactory is planned to be built in Bawen, Semarang, Central Java. Raw material is supplied by Fiber Visions Denmark for Polypropylene and ES Fiber Visions Asia for bicomponent. By using 60% polypropylene fibres and 40% bicomponent fibres, the production process will be carry out using high technology production lines under lisence of Trutzschler and Fleissner company of Duetschland. The product of nonwoven geotextile is planned to have a specific product for geomechanic textile, separating layers, and drainage with variety of weight between 100-1000 GSM under lisence of EN ISO (European International Standard Organization). The factory will be operated for 24 hours per day or 360 days per year with 205 employees. The machinery needed are; 1 Bale Opener machine, 1 Separator machine, 1Mixer machine, 2 Fiber Opener machine (1 Tuftomat and 1FOL opener machine), 1Tuft feeder machine, 1Heat Bonding machine, and 1Winder machine, whichis controlled by computerized system. The factory will be covered by capital investment of about Rp.81.041.400.000,- and working capital of about Rp. 10.697.351.886,73,- (at least for the first three months production period). Based on the economic analysis indicated that the value of Break Even Point (BEP) is 40,36% and Shutdown Point (SDP) 29,12%. The capital investment will return in7years 13 days. Based on visibility analysis resulted that the value of Return of Investment (ROI) is 13%, Minimum Attractive Rate of Return (MARR) greater than Cost of Capital it's mean a positive point for investation. Based on the above factors can be concluded that the pre-liminary factory of nonwoven geotextile visible to be built.
