Abstract

The Ammonium Nitrate factory from Ammonia and Nitric Acid gives very good prospect,considering the requirement of Ammonium Nitrate in Indonesia which progressively increase.This factory upstream industry,because the result product could be used as the other industrial raw material,like agrochemical as insektisida,in mining industry as detonator.The processing ofAmmonium Nitrate from Ammonia and Nitric Acid use prilling process,which is the reaction is running in bubble reactor ( Reactor Bubble Coloumn ).The Operate running at pressure 4 atm and temperature 200 °C,as a Reactor cooler is used Koil cooler. The Convert reaction is 98% and resulting product with 99% purity. This factory is designed with capacities 60.000 tons/year.Raw material needed is 15.750 tons/year Ammonia 99,5 %,and Nitric Acid 60 % as much 77.000 tons/year.Factory works for 24 hours with once turn around.In aday there are 4divisible shift groups,which are 3 groups work while 1group holiday. Utility requirements cover∶ water as much 47.000 Tons/year,steam 4.400 tons/year,electrics 1.000 kW,fuel (Industrial Diesel oil) as much 409.000 ltr/year (368 tons/year). This factory is planned to build up in 2010 at Palembang,broad of land 50.700 m,broad of building 22.500 m²,with amount of employees are 166 people. Fixed Capital Investment needed is Rp 284.000.000.000,00.,with working capital is Rp.217.920.000.000,00.Expenditure every year coverage Manufacturing Cost,as much Rp.625.000.000.000,00 and General Expense as much Rp.121.000.000.000,00.Profit obtained before tax is as much Rp.93.000.000.000,00 and aftertax as much Rp.74.000.000.000,00 Result ofeconomic evaluation shows that Return On Investnment ( ROI) before tax is 32,84 %,and after tax is 26,27 %.Pay Out Time ( POT) before tax 2,33 year and after tax is 2,76 year.Break Event Point ( BEP) is 46,23 %while Shut Down Point ( SDP) is 24,95 %.Discounted Cash Flow ( DCF) is 28,08 %. Pursuant to the result calculation of economic evaluation.could be concluded that founding the factory of Ammonium Nitrate from Ammonia and Nitric Acid properly to be founded and studied further more.
