dc.description.abstractDiabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that is common and became good health problems developed and developing countries. Diabetes mellitus is one of the non-communicable diseases. The prevalence of diabetes mellitus is always increase from year to year. The number of people who have diabetes mellitus tended to increase from year to year. This is related to the population increase, the lifestyle, the prevalence of obesity is increasing and less physical activity (Smeltzer & Bare, 2002). Objective : To determine the magnitude of the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Puskesmas Ngaglik I and II in January 2011-December 2011 Methods : This research is a descriptive study of non-analytical categorical Result : The results show that there is a prevalence of diabetes mellitus in the working area I and II health centers Ngaglik Ngaglik Sleman district in January 2011-December 2011 as much as 1.86 per 1000 population. Based on the characteristics of most patients with diabetes mellitus at the age of 61-70 years, women, and diabetes mellitus type 2. Conclusion : The prevalence of diabetes mellitus in the working area I and II health centers Ngaglik Ngaglik Sleman district in January 2011-December 2011 total of 1.86 per 1000 population.en_US
