| dc.description.abstract | This research is conducted to know change rate ofdissolved oxygen atTanah Laterit
Reactor with analysis approach cascade aeration type at Panti Baktiningsih Hospital, at Klepu
Kidul orchad, Sendangmulyo Countryside, Minggir District, Sleman Sub-Province, Daerah
Istimewa Yogyakarta. Tanah Laterit Reactor is merger process fisika filtration of laterite land
with cascade aeration type, this installation is the part ofsystem of DEWATS (Decentralized
Waste Water Treatment) result of cooperation between Institute Development Of Rural
Technology (LPTP) and Bremen Overseas Research and Development Association
(BORDA). Cascade Aeration is an process put into pure oxygen or air into v/ater where in
course of this is a rotation process where current lamella downwards which laboured in such
a manner so that each other meeting which usually use 4-6 step.
Dissolved Oxygen (DO) is the amount ofoxygens which consist in underwaterly.
Existence of important oxygen dissolved is existence of because this dissolve oxygen
required by all aquatic organisms. Without existence of dissolved oxygen, many
microorganism in water cannot live because used dissolve oxygen for die process of'organic
compound degradation in water.
Intake of sampling done at 09.00 WIB and at 13.00 WIB on influent, third Reactor,
and effluent reactor during seven day successively. Research which is application of desain!
This research was compare application with the desain. Rate of DO at 09.00 WIB and at
13.00 WIB do not experience of difference which isn't it even at maximum debit and
minimum. That increase rate of dissolved oksigen 0,923229 mg/L. The increase of dissolved
oksigen is very low because upflow of adsorbent laterite soil. This adsorber, make the
turbulesi degree is low, who can made low dissolved oksigen Difference of dimension of
