Tingkat Pengetahuan Pasien dan Kejadian Demam Tifoid di Puskesmas Sleman
Abstract
Background: Typhoid fever is an endemic disease in Indonesia. The prevalence of typhoid fever in Indonesia is reported as much as eighty one point seven per one hundred population. Typhoid fever has various risk factors that can cause typhoid fever. Poor level of knowledge and hygiene is a risk factor for typhoid fever.
Objectives: To find out the level of patient knowledge and the incidence of typhoid fever in Sleman Public Health Center
Methods: This research is a descriptive study with cross-sectional design. The sampling method is by consecutive sampling in patients with fever in Sleman Public Health Center in January-February. The number of samples is 60. The level of knowledge was taken using a questionnaire and the incidence of typhoid fever was measured by typhidot rapid IgG IgM. Data analysis using the SPSS application.
Results: The number of data analyzed was 59. The number of patients who had learned about typhoid fever in questions number 1 to 13 >50%. Typhidot results obtained, acute infection 42.4% (25 people), acute exacerbation chronic infection 3.4% (2 people), 0% career, and negative 54.2% (32 people).
Conclusion: Most patients already know about typhoid fever, but there are still patients with positive of typhoid fever.
