    Abstract
    Garbage is the main problem in Lubuk Pakam City that difficult to find the way out because of the approach of "the end of pipe solution'". Some problems that can be seen in that related with the garbage management in Lubuk Pakam City is management or administration, lack of the requirements of garbage transportation, the limited capacity of the TPA garbage, besides the written above; level of society awareness also has high influence. The method research of garbage management planning in Lubuk Pakam City is by taking sample from domestic and non domestic source to predict the volume of the garbage in Lubuk Pakam City. Garbage management planning in Lubuk Pakam City include the storage, collection, transportation, and final disposal. Based on the result of measurement and calculation sample from domestic and non domestic source, domestic garbage volume average is 1,3 L/P/Day. The garbage volume of non domestic is insist on the shop 2,68 L/unit/day, school facility 0,2 L/P/day, religion facility 9,89 L/Unit/day, apotic 10,88 L/day and offices 7,5 L/Unit/Day. The amount of the garbage volume of Lubuk Pakam City is 1,73 L/P/day. The Requirements of domestic storage is 20.295 unit. Wagon requirement for the system of garbage gathering is 153 units where each wagon collect the garbage once a day every evening. The amount of the TPS is 14 units for area system, and for the centrally system need 13 container units. The amount of the truck to transportation phase is 8 units, each truck take the garbage once a day every evening. Garbage that was throw to TPA only 40% (63,32 m7 day) from domestic garbage and 61,57 m³/day from non domestic garbage that processed by the controlled landfill method.
