    Abstract
PT. Limanjaya Anugrah is a textile industries which it's their production activity only move at dyeing/printing activity, from this activity they able to produce 300 m wastewater a day. Actually PT. Limanjaya Anugrah already have a wastewater treatment unit but the operationally are not maximal, it can be seen from the ammonia concentration that are sill high it's between 20-50 mg/L. One of the alternative treatment that can use to decrease the ammonia concentration is by using breakpoint chlorination method. For that means a research about breakpoint chlorination are do it, this is do to knowthe amount of the chlorine dose demand and to determine some factor that can influence the efficiency of this ammonia removal processes. In this research we take sample from the inlet to determine the pH value and the ammonia concentration, after that some chlorine dose (10 mg/L, 15 mg/L, 20 mg/L, 25 mg/L, etc) are added to this sample until the breakpoint condition are reach (30 mg/L, 35 mg/L, 25 mg/L, 40 mg/L, 25 mg/L, 20 mg/L) it's signed by decreasing the amount of residual chlorine dose on the solution. Based from the chlorine added a breakpoint chlorination curve will make, this curve can use to determine the chlorine dose that are needed to ammonia removal processes. Based on the result of laboratory research we get, the mean chlorine dose that are needed to decrease 1mg/L ammonia concentration from PT. Limanjaya Anugrah wastewater is 3.1 mg/L and the efficiency are depend on ammonia concentration and pH value, with the optimum pH between 6-8 and the ammonia concentration are needto remove are not more than 11 mg/L. Key words :Ammonia, Removal, Breakpoint Chlorination.
