    Abstract
    YACONA® products is one of the herbal product that consists of a combination of leaf (Smallanthus sonchifolius) yacon, salam leaves (Eugenia polyantha) and Andrographis paniculata (sambiloto (Burm. f.) Ness.) antidiabetic drugs that are used for. To assess the safety of a drug ingredient limit treated test toxicity. This research aims to know the level of security products with value determination YACONA LD50 and see an overview of liver and kidney histopathology of rats Wistar females. Study toxicity test is performed using the methods of the Acute Oral Toxicity 425 OECD: Up and Down Procedure (UDP) with a dose Limit test 2000mg/kgBB. From the test results, up to a dose of 2000mg/kgBB obtained no symptoms and the death of toxicity on animal testing, so the product can be classified as YACONA® compound is not toxic with LD50 values above 2000mg/kgBB. The results of histopathological picture of the organ, it is known that the liver has accumulated glycogen, multifocal cyst and no change, then the kidney organ experiences nephorsis.
