Psikoedukasi Pengasuhan Profetik Santri Untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Tentang Pengasuhan Profetik Pada Pembina Pesantren Di Pesantren “X” Jawa Timur

Abstract

Prophetic parenting is one of parenting methods in Islamic psychology based upon the parenting styles of the Prophet. This research aims to observe the impacts of psychoeducation of Prophetic Parenting of Santri to broaden the knowledge about the prophetic parenting towards the coaches in the dormitory of Islamic Boarding School as the foster parent of santri. This research used the experimental method with non randomized pretest postest control group design. The knowledge about the prophetic parenting was measured using the cognitive test in the form of test on the knowledge about the prophetic parenting made by the researcher. The module of psychoeducation of Prophetic Parenting of Santri was made by the researcher based upon the theory of Suwaid (2010) and has passed the professional judgment and test of module. There were 62 coaches of dormitory in “X” Islamic boarding school, Pasuruan East Java involved as the subjects of this research. This subject was divided into two groups: 31 persons in experimental group and other 31 in control group. The results of the statistical analysis used the Friedman test and obtained the p-value of 0,035 (asymp.sig <0,05) showing a significant impact of psychoeducation given in the form of the increase in the average score in posttest in the experiment group in comparison to the control group. This then means that psychoeducation of Prophetic Parenting of Santri is proven effective to broaden knowledge about prophetic parenting.
