This research aims to observe the effects of the training of emotion regulation to improve the student well-being among students in Junior High School “X” Yogyakarta. It used the experiment design with nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group design. Twenty-four students aged in the range of 11-15 years old were involved as the respondents in this research. They were divided into 12 students in the experimental group and other 12 students in the control group. The Training of the emotion regulation was held for two days requiring the effective time of approximately ± 3 hours in each day. The measurement in this research used the scale of student well-being questionnaire (SWBQ) made by Hascher (2007). The hypothesis test used was the analysis test of Friedman. The results of the data analysis showed that the value of the experiment group was sig 0,000 (p < 0, 05). It means that the emotion regulation training can improve the student well-being in the experimental group in comparison to the control group that was not given the emotion regulation training. Thus, it concluded that emotion regulation training could improve the well-being of the students in Junior High School.en_US
