dc.description.abstractThe prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Indonesia always increase everytime. Hypertension is one of the main causes and complications that can complicate the treatment of CKD patients. This research was conducted with the aim of evaluating the use of antihypertensive drugs in CKD patients in Yogyakarta Public Hospital during 2017. This study was a cross-sectional study with descriptive analysis with data retrieval conducted retrospectively from the patient's medical record. The study was conducted by involving patient subjects in an affordable population, namely patients in 2017. Evaluation of the use of antihypertensive drugs was carried out based on the type of antihypertensive prescribed and achievement of blood pressure. Antihypertensive prescribing conformity evaluation was conducted by comparing the antihypertensive prescribed with the Joint National Committee (JNC) guideline 8. Antihypertension prescribed to CKD patients in this study was furosemide, amlodipine, irbesartan, bisoprolol, propranolol, and captopril. single antihypertension was given to patients who did not undergo hemodialysis, whereas antihypertensive combinations were given to patients undergoing routine hemodialysis. The achievement of blood pressure in patients who did not undergo hemodialysis was 88.23% and the achievement of blood pressure in patients undergoing hemodialysis was 63,04% - 67,39%.en_US
