    Abstract
Pre-design of Amyl Acetate plant with capacity 20,000 tons/year is planned to be built in Merak, the province Banten, in the area of land 30 000 m². This chemical plant will be operated for 330 days/year 0r 24 hours a day total 300 employees. Raw materials needed are amyl alcohol 13,793.420 tons/year Acetate acid of about 10,205.380 tons/year, Sulphat acid (catalisator) of about 2,978.611 tons/year and Sodium hydroxide of about 486.3259 tons/year. The reaction is carry out in a 3 Continues Stirred Tank Reactors, which is set up on a series system isothermally and it operated at 100 °C and 1 atm using Sulphat Acid as catalisator The utility needed consist of 4167.683028 gallons/hour of water 740 4079 kgs/hour Of steam, 25.5724 gallons/hour of fuel and 125.65 Kwh of electricity. From an economic shows that this chemical plant need to be covered by fixed captal of about US$ 5,791,468 +RP. 52,522,815,488 and working capital of about, Rp. 180,761,149,440. The profit before tax is Rp. 48,010,297 344 while after tax is Rp. 24,005,148,672. Percent Return on Investment (ROI) before and after tax are 45.88 %and 22.94 %, Pay Out Time (POT) before tax is 1.79 years and af e ax is 3.04 years. Break Even Point (BEP) 46.47 %, Shut Down Point (SDP) 27 8%and Discounted Cash Flow Rate (DCFR) is 20.09 %. From an economic evaluation result, it can concluded that Amyl Acetate plant vissible to be built.
