| dc.description.abstract | The Methyl Acrylate plant gives very good prospect, considering the requirement of Methyl Acrylate in Indonesia had increased gradually. The main material of Acrylate Acid obtained from the PT. Nippon Shokubai Indonesia, Cilegon and Methanol from PT. KMI Bontang, East Kalimantan. The factory is planned to built in Cilegon, in the area of land of 10.104 m2, at the province of Banten , West Java in 2022. This chemical plant will be operated for 330 days or 24 hours a day with total 122 employees. Methyl Acrylate plant using esterification process with capacity of 30.000 ton/years, has a purity of 99,5%. The reaction happened within a stirred reactor tank, Reactor is operated continuously in an endothermic temperature 80°C and pressure at 1 atm, as a reactor heater is used steam. Time of reaction in the reactors is 1 hour, a comparison between the acrylic acid and methanol used in reaction is 1 : 2. This plant are needed 269,586.0858 kg/hour of water from Cidanau river which proceced in utility unit, 92,179.2953 kg/hour of steam, and 181 kW of electricity power provided by PLN and also need a generator as reserve. An entire ouput product of the reactor is in the form of liquid then, it is brought to neutralizer to eliminating H2S04 after that separated through a decanter, and purified in a column of distillation and ready to market. A parameter of appropriatness uses an economic analysis with total capital investment Rp 569.509.844.259 consisted of Rp 473.666.818.692 as Manufacturing cost, and Rp 98,232,745,552 as a Working Capital. Total Cost Rp Rp 569.509.844.259 and Annual Sales Rp 639,000,000,000 thus it can get profit Rp 69.490.155.741 before taxes, and Rp 34.745.077.871 after taxes. A count result of parameter is percentage of Return On Investment (ROI) 21 % after taxes, Pay Out Time (POT) 3,46 year after taxes, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) 21,84%, Break Event Point (BEP) 40,95 %, while Shut Down Point (SDP) 26,81 %. From the analyses above it showed that the result was satisfied so the plant are appropriate to build. | en_US |
