GAMBARAN PELAKSANAAN COMPOUNDING DI APOTEK A DAN B KECAMATAN MANTRIJERON WILAYAH KOTA YOGYAKARTA DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

Compounding is one of the pharmaceutical jobs that can be carried out by pharmacy staff consisting of pharmacists, bachelor degree of pharmacists, pharmacy specialist, pharmaceutical analysts, and pharmacist assistants. The problem that frequently occur in compounding process usually caused by technical errors and lack of knowledge. This study aims to describe the practice of compounding aspects and the level of knowledge of employees who working on compounding at the Pharmacies A and B District of Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta City Region (DIY). This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. The pharmacy used in this study was 2 pharmacies from a total of 17 pharmacies because there were still many pharmacies doing compounding processes with 10-15 recipes per day. Selection of pharmacies with purposive sampling method and data retrieval by accentental sampling method. The research’s sample is pharmacy staff consisting pharmacists and pharmaceutical technical personnel who accept and carry out compounding processes at the pharmacy. Data retrieval was carried out in August 2018. The quantitative data from observing the compounding observation process. Data collection questionnaires produce quantitative data in the form of scoring results of respondents' knowledge and qualitative in the form of interviews from respondents. The results of the implementation of the compounding aspect carried out by pharmacy staff at the pharmacies A and B in Mantrijeron District, DIY City Region obtain an average value 93,18%. The level of knowledge of pharmacy staff who carry out the compounding process obtain an average value of 85%. The description of the implementation of compounding at the Pharmacies A and B District of Mantrijeron Subdistrict, Yogyakarta City Region of Yogyakarta is categorized very good with a score of ≥75%.
