dc.description.abstractThe societies are living in vast development of information technology (IT), affected the development of IT is business competition. The executives of the enterprise should make proper decision in order to survive the business. Business Intelligence (BI) is a technique and solution that helps managers to understand business situation. On other hand, it is very hard to build a BI system as stated the failure rate is high. Furthermore, the concept of traditional of BI approaches is changing. The trend focussed on organizations that must be able to work with data more easily and less dependent to IT department. Thus, Self-service Business Intelligence (SSBI) approaches are introduced by Imhoff and White in 2011. This research focussed on development of SSBI for decision support system. Using Microsoft’s Adventure Works as a case study and develops SSBI system using Microsoft Power BI. In this research, the analysis is focused on B2C including product sales analysis, sales analysis by location, sales analysis by customer. The result of this research is that there are several steps and requirements to develop SSBI solution using Power BI, such as identifying key business objectives, preparing data sources, performing data warehousing process, and reporting. In addition, there are specific things conducted in this research such as data sources that use only single database called Adventure Works 2017. The data warehousing including ETL process also in specific as creating 5 dimensions and 1 fact table. The dashboard created in this research able to support the business users to analyse current business condition such as product performance, customer profiling and sales by geography. Furthermore, the business users can create customized analysis and customized dashboard to get in-depth in exploring desired insights.en_US
