AKTIVITAS MINYAK ATSIRI DARI SERAI WANGI (Cymbopogon nardus), DAUN CENGKEH (Syzigum aromaticum), DAN JERUK NIPIS (Citrus aurantifolia) SEBAGAI REPELLENT TERHADAP HAMA KUTU BERAS (Sitophilus oryzae L) INTISARI Mohammad Agung Maulidia Pratama NIM 14612071 Telah dilakukan uji efektivitas minyak atsiri serai wangi (Cymbopogon nardus), daun cengkeh (Syzigum aromaticum), dan jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia) terhadap hama kutu beras (Sitopilus oryzae L). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan minyak atsiri yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap penolakan hama kutu beras. Minyak atsiri didapat dengan metode penyulingan uap untuk minyak atsiri daun cengkeh, penyulingan uap-air untuk serai wangi, dan penyulingan air untuk minyak atsiri jeruk nipis. Rendemen minyak atsiri serai wangi, daun cengkeh, dan jeruk nipis yaitu 0,510, 2,278, 0,088%. Identifikasi GC-MS pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa serai wangi memiliki senyawa dominan geriseril asetat (81,05%), minyak atsiri daun cengkeh memiliki senyawa dominan eugenol (63,47%), dan minyak atsiri jeruk nipis memiliki senyawa dominan limonene (36,32%). Uji aktivitas ini dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali pengulangan dengan waktu pengamatan 24, 48, 72, dan 96 jam. Hasil uji aktivitas minyak atsiri serai wangi, cengkeh, dan jeruk nipis memiliki persentase penolakan dengan nilai 93%, 67% dan 60%. Selain itu, minyak atsiri cengkeh dan jeruk nipis memiliki nilai persentase mortalitas 27% dan 40%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa minyak atsiri serai wangi, daun cengkeh dan jeruk nipis memiliki daya repellent dan efek toxic terhadap hama kutu beras dan dapat digunakan sebagai repellent yang bersifat alami dan ramah lingkungan. The aim from this study to know the compounds of essential oils which can be controlled for rice weevil. Those essential oils were obtained from steam distillation for clove oil, water-steam distillation for citronella oil, and water distillation for citrus oil. The yield of essential oils of citronella, clove, and citrus were 0.510, 2.278, 0.088%. In this study, GC-MS data showed geriseryl acetate (81.05%) as dominant compound of citronella oil, eugenol (63.47%) as dominan compound of clove oil, and limonene (36.32%) as dominant compound of citrus oil. The experiment repeated three times for some observation (24, 48, 72, and 96 hours). The repellent of citronella oil, clove oil, and citrus oil had percentage of repellent value about 93%; 67% and 60%. In addition, clove oil and citrus oil had mortality percentage about 27% and 40%. This suggest that the essential oil of citronella, clove and citrus had repellent and toxic effect against Sitophilus oryzae and can be used as a repellent which natural and environmentally friendly.
