Misoprostol off-label has been widely used as induction of labor. The effectiveness of misoprostol as induction of labor may be considered to reduce mortality in the fetus and the mother. Studies related to the selection of the route of administration of misoprostol is rarely. Selection of the proper administration of misoprostol can help smooth the delivery process. Dosing and different intervals can cause different effects. Dosing and appropriate intervals are expected to produce an effect that was expected. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of giving misoprotol based on a given route of administration, dosage of misoprostol suitability and effectiveness of misoprostol as induction of labor. The study was conducted at DR.Sardjito Hospital. This study was a descriptive cross-sectional study. Data were taken from medical records of inpatients in 2014. The population of the induction is a number of 256 patients, and 92 patients were entered into inclusion. Route of administration is the most widely prescribed oral, vaginal and some buccal. Incompatibility doses of misoprostol, which is 2,17%. The effectiveness of misoprostol by long labor, compliance administration, and the addition of oxytocin, which is 35.87% of patients multigravid and 22.82% in patients primigravida.
