The research aims to analyze and prove the effect of workload and work competence on the work stress, to test the effect of work stress, workload and work competence on the work performance of the employees at PT. Antareja Prima Antaran with the criteria of permanent employees, not in recess, not approaching retirement and not under the criminal case. There were 134 employees involved as the population in this research. Meanwhile, the technique in sampling used the census method in which all of population was used as the sample. Descriptive analysis, doubled linear regression analysis and path analysis were used as the model of analysis here. The result of the research revealed that the perception of the workload of the employees was rather excessive and the perception of the work competence was high, the perception of the work stress and the work performance experienced by the employees were categorized low. Further, the result of the inferential analysis showed that (1) there was a positive effect of workload on the work stress of the employees of PT. Antareja Prima Antaran indicating that the higher the workload, the more increasing the work stress will be; 2) there was a negative effect of work performance on the work stress of the employees at PT. Antareja Prima Antaran indicating that the higher the work competence, the lower the work stress of the employees; (3) there was a negative effect of work stress on the work performance of the employees of PT. Antareja Prima Antaran, showing that the higher the level of the work stress, the lower the work performance of the employees; (4) there was no any negative effect of work competence on the work performance of the employees of PT. Antareja Prima Antaran, indicating that any level of the workload of the employees does not give any effect on the work performance and (5) there was no any positive effect of work competence on the work performance of the employees of PT. Antareja Prima Antaran, thus any level of the work competence of the employees does not influence the work performance.
