The traffic jam on urban roads in big cities has become a major topic that has always been a problem, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia and even in large cities like Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) especially in Dr. Wahidin road, Pringgolayan, Selokan Mataram. This is caused by the effect of activities of visitors shopping complex and the high side friction to further aggravate the condition of the road . This study aims to find out the performance of roads in the existing condition, determine alternative solutions to improve the performance of roads were reviewed, and determine the performance of road conditions the next 5 years Side friction is the impact of the traffic performance of the activity friction of the road segment. Side friction examined included pedestrian promenade, parking and parking and slow of Vehicle, exit and entry of vehicle, and slow moving of vehicle / non-motorized vehicles. The primary data used in the study include the amount of side friction, traffic volume, geometry and condition of the road facility. And secondary data used in this study include population and research site plan. Analysis of the performance of the road on Dr. Wahidin road, Pringgolayan, Selokan Mataram on the existing condition and analysis of alternative solutions to be done by using the Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI, 1997). While the analysis of the performance of the road the next 5 years using the excel program trendline. From the survey results and analysis of the performance of Dr. Wahidin road, Pringgolayan, Selokan Mataram, Yogyakarta on the existing condition obtained total flow volume (Q) is the highest at 17:30 to 18:30 at 1398.50 smp / hour, the side friction value indicates that the road has side friction values are very high with the highest weighted frequency at 1636.10 events / h, free flow speed (FV) of 25.94 km / h, the road capacity (C) of 1232.94 smp / hour, and the degree of saturation (DS) of 1.13. Results of the analysis of alternative solutions by eliminating parking on both sides of the road obtained free flow speed (FV) = 33.36 km / h, the capacity of the road (C) = 2072.90 smp/h, and the degree of saturation (DS ) = 0.67, to the results of the analysis of alternative solutions by way traffic diversion obtained (with parking) free flow speed (FV) = 35.72 km / h, the capacity of the road (C) = 1403.00 smp/h, and the degree of saturation (DS) = 1.00, to the results of the analysis of alternative solutions by way traffic diversion obtained (without parking) free flow speed (FV) = 40.60 km / h, the capacity of the road (C) = 2179.66 smp/h, and the degree of saturation (DS) = 0,64, while to the results of the analysis of alternative solutions by way traffic lanes and shoulders is widened obtained free flow speed (FV) = 35,80 km / h, the capacity of the road (C) = 2.382,64 smp/h, and the degree of saturation (DS) = 0,59. The survey results and analysis of the performance of Dr. Wahidin road, Pringgolayan, Selokan Mataram, Yogyakarta on the conditions of the next 5 years obtained traffic volume (Q) = 2093.19 smp/h and the degree of saturation (DS) = 1.70.
