RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND TENDENCY OF BULLYING BEHAVIOR IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL Baihaqi Wanadya Ayu Krishna Dewi ABSTRACT This study aimed to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and tendency of bullying behavior in senior high school. The hypothesis of this study is there is a negative relationship between the level of emotional intelligence with a tendency to bullying in students, the higher level emotional intelligence of the students, the lower tendency of bullying that happens, the lower level emotional intelligence of students, the higher tendency of bullying behavior that happens. Subjects in this study were students of SMA N 1 Sleman. This study uses product moment correlation analysis of Pearson, which is used to find the relationship between emotional intelligence with a tendency to bullying behavior. From the analysis results obtained large of correlation coefficient between the two variables, r = -0.414, p = 0.002 (p <0.05). It means that there is a correlation between bullying behavior tendency with the emotional intelligence.
