ISOLATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF ACTIVE COMPOUNDS OF RED SEED LEAF EXTRACT (Piper crocatum) AS NATURAL FUNICIDE ON ANTHRACNOSIC DISEASE IN BRANCH ABSTRAK DYAH WIDYASARI NIM: 14612035 Colletotrichum sp. is one of the most common fungi as a cause of disease in chili plants. Provision of pesticides to control plants leaves residues that are harmful to the environment and human health. The use of natural functions can be an option to avoid this. One of the natural fungicides that can be used is red betel leaf (Piper crocatum) because it contains phytochemical compounds that function as antifungal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of red betel leaf extract in inhibiting the growth of fungi Colletotrichum sp. The activity test of red betel leaf as an antifungal was carried out based on Complete Randomized Design (CRD) in vitro. In vitro inhibitory activity was carried out using a poisoned food technique. The results showed that the ethyl acetate 0.3% fraction had a percentage of inhibition against the fungus Colletotrichum sp. in 7 days, the observation increased to 74% on the 7th day. Keywords: Colletotrichum sp., Piper crocatum, natural fungicide, antifungal.
